What is covered in EDT Lesson #1?
You will learn how to perform vehicle safety checks (including roadworthiness), the cockpit drill, and understand the correct use of primary (e.g. accelerator and brake) and secondary (e.g. lights, indicators, windscreen wipers) controls.

Another easy way to remember how to perform your cockpit drill checks is by using the initialism ‘DSSSM‘:
D – Doors (make sure they are closed)
S – Seat (adjust correctly)
S – Steering Wheel (adjust correctly)
S – Seatbelt (put it on correctly)
M – Mirrors (adjust correctly)
